Este es el volumen II del trabajo de investigación que un equipo de historiadores de la Universidad de Chile realizó sobre el centro de tortura Villa Grimaldi. En este, el foco de estudio no estuvo centrado en el modus operandi de ese centro represivo, sino en la vida, rebelión, tortura y exilio de los que, habiendo estado prisioneros allí, sobrevivieron, pudiendo conservar y reunir en su memoria el registro de todas sus experiencias, tanto de las que vivieron allí como de las que los llevaron hasta allí, y de las que configuraron lo que son hoy.
