Marshall has incredible powers: He shoots laser beams from his eyes and flies. The problem is that he is short-sighted and suffers from vertigo, so his abilities don't help much. However, after he encounters a retired hero, Marshall gathers a group of kids with defective powers and together they discover they can be even better than the real superheroes.

The scatterbrained protagonist of this wordless tale can’t find his glasses anywhere. Not under the table, not in the refrigerator . . . not even in his dog’s mouth, a repository for all sorts of things, from butterflies to mobile phones. Children will have fun taking in the quirky details of the main character’s home as his search becomes increasingly desperate—and ends in an ironic conclusion.
