The Girl starts her travel diary to Kiev in an exciting, sad, hair-raising, and unforgettable adventure. She is joined by her sister Marimbo, who is studying to be a trapeze artist. When little Oleg crosses paths with the two travelers and hides a message for them inside one of their Matryoshka dolls, it sets off a chase that leads the sisters to the rawest truth.
