Una historia de Asia Oriental proporciona una historia general de la región, desde el siglo xii a.C. hasta la actualidad. Charles Holcombe se ocupa primero de definir lo que denomina “Asia Oriental” para después escribir una historia que incluye las particularidades de cada pueblo y los rasgos que comparten entre sí.
