Escasas son las noticias que nos han llegado acerca de Apolonio de Rodas, poeta griego de la epoca alejandrina. Sabemos de el que nacio hacia el ano 300 a.C. en Alejandria, donde fue director de la famosa biblioteca y preceptor del heredero del trono.
