Un libro escrito para el profesorado de idiomas que orienta acerca de la manera de preparar una evaluación que incluya todos los niveles en los que debe aprenderse una lengua: desde la adecuada comprensión y la habilidad para hacer construcciones gramaticales hasta la capacidad de argumentación y del manejo de distintos registros (lenguaje jurídico, periodístico, etc.), al mismo tiempo que muestra las deficiencias y las maneras de resolverlas.

El libro contiene textos de nivel A1 y A2, paralelos en inglés y español. Esta edición bilingüe incluye divertidas historias sobre situaciones cotidianas como nuevos amigos, estudiar en la universidad o buscar trabajo, para aumentar la motivación del alumno. El método usado se basa en la facultad humana de recordar palabras que aparecen sistemáticamente y repetidamente en el texto. Las frases son construidas a partir de las palabras ya aprendidas en los capítulos anteriores. A partir del segundo capítulo, cada uno sólo contiene 35 nuevas palabras.
