Este código de la Orden del Temple es una de las fuentes más importantes sobre la historia de las órdenes militares. Código monástico al tiempo que manual militar, este documento único fue evolucionando con la Orden a lo largo de casi ciento cincuenta años y por tanto es un valioso instrumento para evaluar las adaptaciones de los templarios a los cambios políticos y sociales.Conocido como la Regla y basado en tres manuscritos medievales, fue publicado por primera vez en 1886.
