Lola is a nine-year old girl who lives with her mother Carmen. She thinks her mum is her only family until a complete stranger knocks at the door. The stranger, an old man with a surly appearance, makes her Mum look really astonished, as he assures he is her father, Lola's granddad, about whom she has not known anything about for years.
