Carlos Casado Cuevas nació en Otero de Guardo (Palencia) en 1942. Tiene dos hijos y tres nietos. Ha vivido en Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Argentina, Paraguay, y desde hace diez años disfruta de su jubilación en su pueblo natal. Su producción literaria se ha centrado anteriormente en el campo de la novela y la poesía, y entre sus libros hay algunas novelas históricas, pero es con este libro con el que se inicia en el campo propiamente dicho de la historia.
